Unipublic is a company that specialises in the creation, organisation and commercialisation of elite sporting events. Since its creation in 1975, it manages some of Spain’s most important sporting events: gymnastics world championships, European basketball championships and Spanish athletics championships, among others. But if there is anything that has truly marked Unipublic’s trajectory, it has been organising La Vuelta.

In 1979, the company takes over the responsibility of organising the Spanish Grand Tour, the most important of its kind nationally, and one of the most important worldwide. More than four decades at the helm of La Vuelta, during which Unipublic has developed and implemented its own professionalism and quality seal, resulting in the growth of this race, born almost a century ago, in 1935.

Since 2008, with the company’s acquisition by the French group Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), organisers of the Tour de France and the Dakar, among other sporting events, Unipublic benefits from the stability and the prestige granted by a world leader in the field of sporting event organisation.

La Vuelta is currently a global event due to its wide national and international reach; and a unique cycling race due to its explosive and innovative character. Unipublic has also continued to expand in the cycling world. It has done so through the creation and promotion of cyclosportives events in the Principality of Asturias and in the Autonomous Community of Madrid, imposing its brand and quality seal as a reference within the sector.
